Tues, July 19, 2011: Planning for an African-themed wedding at Domaine Margelle July 30th. Bride has spent time in Mali and is close with a Mali storyteller, a Mbira player and is using African fabric for her chuppah. Now finalizing all the August weddings - all eight of them!

Sun.,7/17/11: Yesterday's Jewish/Christian interfaith wedding was quite the extravaganza at Crown Ballroom in Portland, OR. The Ballroom reminds one of a French Bordello - rich accents and furniture, art and design. The chuppah was bedecked with white gauzy fabric covering pots and poles, crowned by an heirloom white tablecloth. Personal vows, a parent who spoke about humor donning a red clown nose for a second, rich red bridesmaids' dresses of various styles.
